The dual training is a unique opportunity in the German speaking region to learn a profession. The interested young people (under 25) learn the profession directly while working practical in a company. A training usually lasts three years.

You receive this residence permit only if you have an appropriate training contract in Germany. To make a training in Germany at all, it is at least an advantage to have a middle school degree after nine years and some knowledge of German. Although people in your company might speak English or another language, the trials and the lessons are held in the vocational schools are in German. Each company decides on their own which qualifications they expect from their candidates.
